Inner work, without the overclaiming

TrueAwake is written by one person. I’m Ashly — I’ve practised meditation, breathwork and shadow work for years, and when I write about what they do to the body, I go and read the research rather than repeat what other blogs say about it.

That shows up in two ways. Claims about physiology link to the study behind them. And most articles carry a section on what the evidence does not support, because the honest answer to “does this work?” is usually “partly, for some people, and less dramatically than the internet suggests.”

I am not a therapist, a doctor or a teacher, and I hold no certifications in any of this. Nothing here is medical advice. If you find a mistake, tell me and I will correct it — that is the corrections policy.
